The Nexus 1.5 is derived from the Nexus 2000, and is reliant upon the same new technology. Integrating a similar light-weight power supply and HEXFET output stage, the Nexus 1.5 is sure to become another legendary amplifier from HZ International. Most modern SMPS-powered pro-audio amplifiers suffer from lack of power in the sub-bass range: this is why they have been designed to give full power at 1kHz, and NOT 50Hz. At these low frequencies a normal SMPS will droop heavily due to the amount of current being drawn. As a consequence the low frequency response suffers and the amplifier lacks the dynamic headroom needed for a clean punchy bass sound.
Well, as with the Nexus 2000, the Nexus 1.5 uses an efficient high current switching HEXFET output stage, giving you plenty of low frequency power.
All models are 19″ rackmount with a rack fitting bracket design that allows variable front-mounting depth and adjustable rear support brackets for better security.
